The daCarbo/Forestone Saxophone Neck combines traditional craftmanship and knowledge with new technologies.  It is made of carbon fiber compounds, offering the freedom to optimize the neck’s vibrations.  It becomes possible to suppress those vibrations in the tube that simply waste energy, resulting in enhanced articulation and response of the saxophones.  The player feels the instrument more direct.  You can easily play low notes and gain more stability for high notes.  The sound also opens up allowing a better projection.  The neck is handmade by daCarbo CEO Andres Keller in Switzerland, who is already known for his high class carbon trumpets and trombones.  With his PhD in material science he developed the carbon parts in perfection for a great balance and incredible easy blowing sound.  The carbon is extremely robust and corrosion free.  The daCarbo Forestone neck is specially made for the Forestone Saxophone and makes a perfect harmony between Japanese and Swiss craftmanship.
